“Parents rarely let go of their children, so children let go of them. They move on. They move away. The moments that used to define them—a mother’s approval, a father’s nod—are covered by moments of their own accomplishments. It is not until much later, as the skin sags and the heart weakens, that children understand; their stories, and all their accomplishments, sit atop the stories of their mothers and fathers, stones upon stones, beneath the waters of their lives.”

I stumbled upon this gem of an interview/short “documentary” two years back and it’s still as good and memorable as ever. I think what makes it so remarkable and worthwhile is Adam himself. His can-do gusto and attitude has a way of reminding the hardworking dreamer to keep going, to have passion, etc. Do watch if you have a spare four minutes :)

Here is my secret. It is very simple: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
